ELOA is a lamp collection by Simone Lueling made of handblown glass. Forms, shapes, sizes, and colors make each lamp a unique item. One of a kind light objects, fragile, iridescent and timeless - weightlessly floating in space.
refined craftsmanship of ancient glassblowing
ELOA lamps, as solitary or in a constellation, create individual lighting moods and associate with star constellations. Each piece is named after a star or a planet. The collection contains pendant-, floor-, standing- and wall lamps. ELOA combines the craftsmanship of ancient glassblowing techniques with a contemporary simple and yet distinct design. In order to achieve large object sizes of the glass lampshades without mold, it takes a high level of refined craftsmanship and skills. They are only performed by a few Bavarian master glassblowers.
Simone Lueling was working on a project in a loft space to define the functional areas of cooking-, eating-, living-, and working spaces. As the nucleus of that loft space, to one room could be given different atmospheres, according to day time and occasion, with the ideas of ELOA ...
